2026 WBO SEASON

THE YEAR OF THE NO HITTEr?

Ranger Suarez's traded to the Portland Pilgrims from the Moorsetown Mustangs has proven to be a gamechanger. In a stunning performance, Suarez no-hit the Tampa Bay Bolts, walking just two batters and striking out nine. His only mistakes to near perfection were a two-out walk to Ceddane Rafalea in the third and lead-off walk to Joey Bart in the eighth. Suarez capped off the day by striking out the side in the ninth, achieving his first career no-hitter and securing a 1-0 victory for the Pilgrims. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay's pitchers held strong, allowing only one hit, which coincidentally was the game’s decisive run. In the fourth inning, Wyatt Langford walked, advanced to third on Ramon Anthony's single, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Zach Neto, marking the game's only score.

In a dramatic turn of events, Andrew Abbott of the Iron City Pirates showcased his potential by an outstanding performance against the Cardinals in Cooperstown, pitching seven strong no-hit innings. Supported by Carmen Mlodzinski and Tyler Rogers, the trio completed the no-hitter, leading the Pirates to a 5-0 victory. Meanwhile, Mitch Keller flirted with history himself, taking a no-hitter into the ninth inning against the Portland Pilgrims. However, with two outs and a runner on 1st, Wyatt Langford's clobbered a two-run homer which turned the tide, resulting in a heartbreaking 4-1 loss for Keller and the Pirates.  Keller went 8-2/3 striking out 11 and walking 2, his only blemish was the 2-run homer from Langford.
